National City Charter Bus & Party Bus Rentals
National City sits right between downtown San Diego and the Mexican border, which makes it one of the most convenient launching points for group travel anywhere in the county. Fill out one quick form on Partybusrentalsandiego.com and instantly compare vehicles and rates from a network of transportation companies serving National City — no account required, no obligation, and pricing in under a minute.
National City Party Bus and Charter Bus Rentals
Partybusrentalsandiego.com is not a bus company. It does not own any vehicles, operate any trips, or send any buses out of any lot. It is a quote-comparison website — and that distinction is genuinely great news for you.
Instead of calling five different operators, repeating your trip details on every call, and waiting on callbacks that never quite match up, you fill out one form and instantly see vehicles, pictures, and rate ranges from a network of independently owned transportation companies competing for your business. That's it. One form.
Multiple options. No wasted afternoon.
The network covers all of San Diego County, which means whether your group is heading to Petco Park in East Village, a ceremony venue in Coronado, or a winery in the Ramona Valley, there's a bus in the network ready for the trip. Compare minibuses for smaller groups, party buses for celebration nights, and full-size charter buses for large-scale moves — all from one search. Call 858-742-1530 any time or use the online form for instant results.
National City Charter Bus & Party Bus Rentals for Your Group
The network includes 14-passenger Sprinter limos, Sprinter vans, party buses seating 15 to 50 passengers, 15–35 passenger minibuses, and 40–56 passenger charter buses. Browse the full vehicle lineup or call 858-742-1530 and a support team will help you match the right size to your headcount and itinerary.

Photos are examples only and may show stock or typical vehicles, not the exact vehicle offered for your reservation. Choose the National City Bus Amenities You Need
Vehicle amenities vary across the network, and that variety is a good thing — it means you're not stuck with a one-size-fits-all option. Party buses in the 15–50 passenger range typically include color-changing LED lighting, wraparound perimeter seating, flat-panel TVs, premium sound systems with Bluetooth connectivity, and a full-length bar setup. Sprinter limos and Sprinter vans tend to offer premium leather seating, individual USB charging ports, tinted windows, and individual reading lights — a cleaner look for corporate transfers or small wedding parties.
Full-size charter buses are built for distance and comfort: reclining seats, climate control, overhead storage bins, WiFi, power outlets, undercarriage luggage bays, and onboard restrooms on select vehicles. The online form lets you filter by amenity so you're comparing buses that actually match what you need — not just whatever happens to be available.

Amenities listed above are common features that MAY be available on party buses. Because we are a referral website and do NOT own or operate buses, exact features vary by vehicle, provider, and availability. After you submit your quote request, you can browse vehicle options, pricing, and available details on the results page. To confirm the exact amenities included with a specific vehicle offered for your trip, call 858-742-1530 before booking.
Compare National City Party Bus Prices for Any Group
National City party bus rental prices shift based on vehicle type, group size, the date, and how many hours you need. As a general planning range: a 15-passenger party bus runs roughly $200–$350 per hour on weekdays and $250–$350 on weekends. A 25-passenger party bus runs about $250–$375 per hour on weekends.
A full-size charter bus typically falls between $200–$350 per hour regardless of day. A 15–35 passenger minibus runs $200–$275 on weekdays and up to $275 on weekends.
Those are planning ranges — real pricing moves with demand, availability, and your specific itinerary. The fastest way to get an actual number for your date is to call 858-742-1530 or use the online form. Pricing comes back in under a minute, with pictures.

One Quick Search, Your National City Party Bus Options
The straightforward reason: you get more options in one place than you'd find calling around on your own. The network behind Partybusrentalsandiego.com covers all of San Diego County, which means availability doesn't dry up just because one company is already booked on your date. You compare vehicles from multiple independently owned providers side by side — different bus types, different amenity packages, different rate structures — and you find what fits.
There's no account to create. No obligation attached to the quote. No minimum commitment just to see pricing.
Whether you need a San Diego airport shuttle for a 12-person group flying into SAN, a party bus for a bachelorette night through the Gaslamp Quarter, or a fleet of charter buses for a corporate conference at the San Diego Convention Center — you call 858-742-1530 one time or fill out the form once, and a support team available every day of the year from 7am to midnight helps you compare options and get your quote. That's the whole model, and it works.
For groups with specific questions — unusual pickup locations, multi-stop itineraries across the county, same-day needs — a live agent can build a custom quote based on your exact headcount and schedule. Call 858-742-1530 any time to get started.
National City Party Bus Services for Your Event
From airport pickups at San Diego International to game-day runs to Petco Park, from quinceañera nights to prom season in the spring — the network covers every occasion a group in National City might need a bus for. Explore the full list of San Diego group transportation services or read on for specifics by event type.

National City Airport Shuttles & Transportation
San Diego International Airport (SAN) (3225 N Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101) is about 7 miles north of National City via I-5 — under 15 minutes without traffic, but the Harbor Drive approach and the consolidated Terminal 1/Terminal 2 pickup zones can back up badly during peak arrivals. Commercial vehicles use designated pickup zones at the Ground Transportation Center on the Arrivals level of each terminal. For groups flying in together, the move is simple: have your coordinator reach out once luggage is collected and the full group is assembled curbside, then the bus pulls into the commercial lane.
For groups flying out of Tijuana's General Abelardo L. Rodríguez International Airport via the Cross Border Xpress, a National City charter bus to the CBX terminal on Otay Mesa Road is a smart alternative — especially for groups that booked Volaris or Aeromexico to save money on the flight. A minibus handles the Otay Mesa run cleanly and skips the SAN parking situation entirely. Call 858-742-1530 to set up your airport pickup or drop-off.

National City Bachelor & Bachelorette Transportation
The Gaslamp Quarter is 7 miles north of National City on I-5, and it is the obvious anchor for any bachelorette night in San Diego County. The 16-block entertainment district runs from Broadway down to the ballpark, and venues like Tipsy Crow (770 Fifth Ave), Altitude Sky Lounge (660 K St), and Bang Bang nightclub (526 Market St) are all within walking distance of each other once your group is dropped in the Quarter.
The bus parks on Island Avenue or K Street while your group works the strip, then picks everyone up at the end of the night — no surge pricing, no missing half the group at the rideshare pin, no one trying to navigate one-way streets in the dark. For groups that want to extend the night into North Park or Little Italy, the bus handles those hops too. A San Diego bachelorette party bus with LED lighting and a full sound system keeps the energy up from the National City pickup through last call.
Call 858-742-1530 for availability.

National City Birthday, Sweet 16, & Quinceañera Party Bus Rentals
National City has one of the largest concentrations of quinceañera celebration venues in San Diego County — banquet halls along National City Boulevard, Plaza Boulevard, and Sweetwater Road host hundreds of events each year. A party bus arrival is the entrance moment that photographs and videos best, and it solves the real logistical headache: getting 20 or 30 family members from different parts of the county to the same venue at the same time without a carpool coordination nightmare.
For sweet 16s and milestone birthday nights heading downtown — rooftop bars in the East Village, dinner in Little Italy, a late-night run to the Gaslamp — a 20- or 25-passenger party bus fits the group size and keeps everyone together. The San Diego birthday party bus page has vehicle options and rate ranges; call 858-742-1530 to lock in your date. Weekends in spring and fall book out fast for quinceañera season, so earlier is better.

National City Concert Transportation & Shuttles
The two biggest concert venues in San Diego County sit within easy range of National City. Pechanga Arena San Diego (3500 Sports Arena Blvd, San Diego, CA 92110) is about 9 miles north on I-5 — a straightforward run, but Sports Arena Boulevard backs up hard on show nights and street parking in the surrounding Midway District is limited and mostly permit-restricted. The arena's bus drop-off is on the venue's east side; groups arrive together and exit together instead of splitting into rideshares after the encore.
North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (2050 Entertainment Cir, Chula Vista, CA 91911) is actually closer to National City than Pechanga — about 6 miles south on I-805. The amphitheatre's oversized parking lot accommodates buses in a designated commercial area, but post-show exits on Entertainment Circle can stack up for 45 minutes or more. A San Diego concert bus rental keeps the group together from start to finish — no one stranded waiting for a surge-priced rideshare at midnight.
Call 858-742-1530 for concert bus availability.

National City Corporate Event Transportation
National City's proximity to downtown San Diego makes it a natural staging point for corporate groups heading to the San Diego Convention Center (111 W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101). The Convention Center is about 7 miles up I-5 — under 20 minutes on a normal day, but Comic-Con in July and the annual BIO International Convention pack Harbor Drive and shut down nearby surface lots for days at a time. A charter bus drops your team at the Harbor Drive entrance while everyone else is circling the Gaslamp for $40 parking.
For executive transfers between National City hotels and downtown offices or airport connections, a Sprinter limo or Sprinter van handles small groups cleanly — premium leather, USB at every seat, and none of the logistics stress of coordinating multiple rideshares across I-5 during rush hour. A San Diego corporate event bus keeps your team on schedule when the margin for error is zero. Call 858-742-1530 to discuss multi-day corporate shuttle contracts.

National City Private Event Transportation Services
National City's position between I-5 and I-805 makes it an efficient hub for multi-stop private event itineraries across San Diego County. Family reunions hitting Balboa Park (1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101) in the morning and Coronado Beach in the afternoon, church group trips to the San Diego Zoo and then dinner in Old Town, corporate team outings combining a Padres game with a post-game dinner in the Gaslamp — a charter bus handles all of it without anyone losing their car or half the group taking a wrong turn on the Coronado Bridge.
For large private events where multiple buses are needed — graduations, anniversaries, company picnics at Sweetwater Regional Park — the network can coordinate a fleet rather than a single vehicle. One call or one form covers the whole request. Explore San Diego private event bus options or call 858-742-1530 to talk through a custom itinerary.

National City Homecoming & Prom Party Bus Rentals
National City is home to Sweetwater High School and sits in the Sweetwater Union High School District, which also covers Chula Vista, Bonita, and Castle Park. Prom season across the district runs from late April through mid-May, and every school in that window is competing for the same pool of party buses on the same weekend nights. That supply crunch is real — and it gets worse every year.
For prom: book by January. Waiting until March typically means premium rates or no availability in the vehicle size you actually want. A group of 20 students splitting a party bus on prom night runs to a fraction of what they'd spend on individual rideshares — and the group arrives together, on time, without anyone getting lost trying to find the venue.
The San Diego prom party bus page breaks down options by group size. Call 858-742-1530 now to check what's still open on your date.

National City School Event & Field Trip Transportation
For teachers and chaperones organizing field trips out of National City schools, the logistics case for a charter bus writes itself: no parent carpool sign-up sheet, no insurance headaches, no group of kids getting separated at the Balboa Park parking structure. The San Diego Natural History Museum (1788 El Prado, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA 92101) and the Fleet Science Center (1875 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101) both sit inside Balboa Park, where the main parking lots are a fair walk from the museum buildings and can fill on weekday mornings when multiple school groups arrive at the same time.
A charter bus drops your group directly at the park's dedicated bus loop, keeps students together during transit, and waits nearby for the return. For longer trips to the San Diego Safari Park in Escondido (30 miles north on I-15) or Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma, onboard restrooms on full-size charter buses eliminate the roadside stop problem entirely. ADA-accessible vehicles are available in the network — just note it when you request your quote.
Call 858-742-1530 or use the school event bus page to get started.

National City Sporting Event Transportation
Petco Park (100 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101) sits 7 miles north of National City in the East Village, and the postgame rideshare situation on Park Boulevard is one of those San Diego logistics realities that surprises first-timers every single time. After a night game, Park Boulevard and 12th Avenue back up with rideshares and pedestrians for 30–45 minutes, and the surface lots immediately around the ballpark run $30–$40 on event days. A group charter bus to a Padres game drops your group at the ballpark's bus staging area and picks them up at the same point after the final out — no meter running, no surge, no parking bill.
For Snapdragon Stadium events (2101 Stadium Way, San Diego, CA 92108), the Mission Valley location means the I-8/I-15 interchange backs up significantly on SDSU game days and for big concerts. The stadium's commercial vehicle area is on the east side of the complex. Read more about busing to Snapdragon Stadium or explore the full San Diego sporting event bus page.
Call 858-742-1530 to book.

National City Wedding Transportation & Shuttle Service
National City and its surrounding neighborhoods feed weddings all over San Diego County — ceremony venues in Coronado, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, and Temecula are all within range, and guest hotels are often spread across multiple properties along Harbor Drive, Shelter Island, and downtown. Coordinating 80 guests across three hotel blocks and getting them to a Coronado ceremony on time is exactly the kind of problem a wedding shuttle circuit solves.
A 15–35 passenger minibus runs a timed hotel-to-venue loop that keeps your timeline clean without asking guests to figure out the Coronado Bridge on their own. For the wedding party itself, a Sprinter limo handles the pre-ceremony run with room for the dress, flowers, and everyone who needs to be at the venue an hour before guests arrive. Post-reception runs back to hotel blocks can be staggered in 30-minute intervals so no one waits too long.
The San Diego wedding transportation page has more details on shuttle structures. Call 858-742-1530 to build a timeline around your ceremony schedule.

National City Winery Tour & Pub Crawl Transportation
The Ramona Valley AVA sits about 40 miles northeast of National City on CA-67 and Highway 78 — a legitimate wine country destination that most San Diegans underestimate. Luminarias Winery, Hatfield Creek Winery, and Chuparosa Vineyards are all within the valley, and the roads connecting them are two-lane and winding enough that rotating a designated driver through the group kills the whole mood fast. A minibus or charter bus handles the loop, keeps everyone on the same schedule, and gets the group back to National City without any of the logistics stress of a multi-car convoy on mountain roads.
For pub crawls closer to home — National City's own Highland Avenue bar corridor, or a run up to the North Park craft beer circuit on 30th Street — a party bus keeps the group moving between stops without anyone waiting for a rideshare that never shows. The San Diego winery tour bus page has vehicle options for groups of all sizes. Call 858-742-1530 to plan your route.

Frequently Asked Questions About National City Party Bus Rentals
How does this website work?
Partybusrentalsandiego.com helps you compare bus rental options; it is not the bus company and does not rent, own, or operate vehicles. When you submit the quote form, your trip details go through a booking company so you can review pricing and available vehicles for your date. You compare the options and book through the process shown with your quote.
What is Partybusrentalsandiego.com?
Partybusrentalsandiego.com is a quote-comparison website for group ground transportation in San Diego County. It is not a bus company and does not own or operate any vehicles. The site connects you to a network of independently owned transportation providers serving National City and the surrounding region, so you can compare vehicles, amenities, and rate ranges in one place instead of calling around individually.
Fill out one form or call 858-742-1530 — that's the whole process.
How does Partybusrentalsandiego.com work?
Enter your trip date, group size, and pickup and drop-off locations into the online quote form. In under a minute, you'll see available vehicles with pictures and rate ranges from providers serving your area. No account required, no obligation attached.
If you'd rather talk it through first, call 858-742-1530 any day from 7am to midnight and a support team member will walk you through the options and put together a custom package based on your itinerary.
How much does a party bus cost in National City?
National City party bus rental prices vary by vehicle type and date. As planning ranges: a 15-passenger party bus runs $200–$350/hour on weekdays and $250–$350 on weekends. A 25-passenger party bus runs $250–$375 on weekends.
A full-size charter bus typically falls between $200–$350/hour. These are planning ranges — the real price moves with demand, availability, and how many hours you need. Call 858-742-1530 or fill out the form for your specific date, and you'll have actual pricing back in under a minute.
How far in advance do I need to book for a Padres game at Petco Park?
For regular-season Padres games, 2–4 weeks is usually workable outside peak periods. However, playoff games, opening day, and any weekend home series during the summer pull from the same pool of buses as all other San Diego County events happening that day. For postseason games specifically, book the moment the schedule is announced — availability in the network collapses within 48–72 hours of a playoff announcement.
The same urgency applies to Comic-Con weekends in July, when demand spikes across the entire county.
Can a charter bus cross the US-Mexico border into Tijuana?
Cross-border bus operations require specific commercial permits and documentation from both US and Mexican authorities — this is not a standard rental and is outside the scope of what the network typically handles. For groups going to Tijuana, the most common practical approach is a drop-off at the San Ysidro Port of Entry (just 3 miles south of National City), where your group walks across on foot and handles onward transportation on the Tijuana side. A bus to the San Ysidro border crossing is a straightforward booking.
Call 858-742-1530 to set that up.
How are rental times structured?
Rental structures vary by provider in the network, so the specific terms on minimums, packages, and trip types come back with your quote. The support team at 858-742-1530 can clarify those details for your specific itinerary before you commit to anything — no obligation required to ask.
What's the best vehicle size for a group of 20 people heading to a concert at Pechanga Arena?
A 20-passenger party bus is the clean fit for exactly that group size — everyone rides together, no one is squeezed, and there's no need to split into two vehicles. If your headcount is closer to 25 with some flexibility, a 25-passenger party bus gives you the extra room without jumping to a much larger vehicle. Both options are available in the network for the Pechanga Arena run from National City.
Fill out the form or call 858-742-1530 to see what's available on your concert date.
How far in advance should I book?
For most events — concerts, birthday nights, sporting events — booking 3–6 weeks out gives you solid availability and competitive rates. For prom season (late April–May), book by January: the Sweetwater Union district's multi-school prom window creates a genuine supply crunch every spring. For quinceañera and wedding dates, 3–6 months out is strongly recommended because weekends fill across the network.
The earlier you call 858-742-1530, the more vehicle options you'll have at the rates you actually want.
Popular National City Party Bus Destinations
National City's location between downtown San Diego and the South Bay puts a wide range of venues and destinations within easy reach. Here's a look at where groups from National City most commonly head — and what to know about each before you arrive.

Petco Park
Petco Park (100 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101) is the home of the San Diego Padres and one of the most well-regarded ballparks in Major League Baseball. From National City, it's about 7 miles north on I-5 — straightforward until you hit the East Village, where game-day traffic on 12th Avenue and Park Boulevard stacks up well before first pitch. Surface lots immediately adjacent to the park charge $30–$40 on event days and sell out for big games.
The postgame rideshare situation on Park Boulevard is particularly chaotic — the pickup zone backs up for 30–45 minutes after the final out, which means groups relying on apps often wait longer than the bus ride home would have taken. A charter bus drops your group at the stadium's bus staging area, waits nearby, and picks everyone up at the same point after the game — clean and predictable, no meter running.

North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre
North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (2050 Entertainment Cir, Chula Vista, CA 91911) is actually the closest major concert venue to National City — about 6 miles south on I-805, making it a faster run than almost any other county venue. The amphitheatre holds around 20,000 in combined seating and lawn, which means post-show exit on Entertainment Circle is one of the more reliably slow exits in San Diego County. Buses use a designated commercial staging area within the venue's large lot, so load-out is organized and direct rather than sitting in the general traffic queue.
For lawn-night concerts where the crowd skews younger, a party bus with LED lighting and sound keeps the energy going from National City all the way to the gate.

Snapdragon Stadium
Snapdragon Stadium (2101 Stadium Way, San Diego, CA 92108) in Mission Valley hosts SDSU Aztecs football, San Diego FC soccer, and large-scale concerts. From National City, it's about 9 miles north via I-805 to I-8 — but the I-8/I-15 interchange in Mission Valley is one of the most reliably congested interchanges in the county on event days, and parking on Stadium Way fills quickly for sold-out events. Commercial vehicles use the east side of the complex for drop-off and staging.
For SDSU home games, which can draw 35,000+ fans, a charter bus from National City keeps your group out of the Mission Valley parking crunch entirely — drop off, head in, and the bus is waiting when you come out.

Balboa Park
Balboa Park (1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101) is San Diego's central cultural campus — 1,200 acres containing 17 museums, the San Diego Zoo, the Fleet Science Center, the San Diego Natural History Museum, the Timken Museum of Art, and the Old Globe Theatre, among others. From National City, it's about 8 miles north on I-5 to the Park Boulevard entrance. Parking inside Balboa Park is free but limited, and on weekends or during events like the December Nights festival — which draws 350,000+ visitors annually over two nights — the main lots fill completely and traffic on Laurel Street backs up toward Hillcrest.
A charter bus drops your group at the El Prado promenade bus loop and eliminates the parking search entirely, which matters especially for school field trips where 40 students and multiple chaperones are all moving together.

Del Mar Racetrack
Del Mar Racetrack (2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, CA 92014) sits about 25 miles north of National City via I-5 — an easy freeway run that gets complicated on Opening Day of the summer meet (typically late July) and on themed race days like Bing Crosby Day and the Pacific Classic, when the Del Mar Village and surrounding roads see significant congestion. Parking at the track runs $20–$30 per vehicle on regular race days and climbs higher for premium events. The Seaside Lot and North Lot both fill early on popular meet days.
A minibus or charter bus from National City gets your group to Jimmy Durante Boulevard and drops at the main entrance, skipping the lot scramble — and for groups that want to spend the day at the races rather than worrying about who's driving back, it's the only sensible option.

Sweetwater Regional Park and Aquatic Center
Sweetwater Regional Park (3218 Summit Meadow Rd, Bonita, CA 91902) and the adjacent Sweetwater Aquatic Center are among the closest large green-space destinations to National City — about 5 miles east via Sweetwater Road. The park encompasses over 500 acres along the Sweetwater Reservoir, with group picnic areas, hiking trails, and the aquatic facility available for private events and team outings. For large family reunions, church group outings, or company picnics that are drawing attendees from multiple San Diego-area neighborhoods, a charter bus staged out of National City keeps everyone together and on schedule without a dozen separate cars trying to find the same picnic reservation area.
The park's road network is straightforward for oversized vehicles, and the parking areas near the main picnic grounds accommodate commercial vehicles without advance coordination.
